Two UK health consultants, Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, came up with the concept of the Sirtfood diet. The diet combines eating Sirtfoods while calorie restricting, both of which may trigger the body to produce higher levels of sirtuins, which leads to rapid weight loss. They encourage these Sirtfoods that help to burn fat and by cutting so many calories, it is most likely you will lose weight.
HOW SIRTFOOD WORKS?
During the first three days of phase one, you are asked to restrict your calories to 1,000 per day. Hardly enough when this is actually the intake for a young child. On average adults need between 2000-2500 calories a day, depending on your age and physical activity.
On days 4 to 7 of the first phase, you increase your intake to 1500 calories, which includes two green juices and two meals per day.

- Matcha /Green Tea
- Medjool dates
- Red wine
Sirtfoods are mostly plant-based and high in antioxidants that help trick your body into burning fat at a higher rate. The skinny juice doesn’t relate to red wine or coffee. It is a green juice made as a supplement for meals while you are counting calories.
The benefits include building muscle while suppressing appetite. These foods can also help improve memory, help control blood sugar levels while cleaning up the damage from free radical molecules, which help to repair our cells.
